Biostimulators are injectable products that can stimulate collagen production. At The Mile High Injector, this collection includes RADIESSE® and Sculptra®—two products with different materials and treatment characteristics.
Your consultation explores the changes you’re noticing, the time you can allow for results, and whether this approach fits your goals. A series may be discussed, with the overall plan and cost explained before you decide.
TWO DISTINCT OPTIONS
Understand the material. Consider the difference.
CaHA
RADIESSE®
CALCIUM HYDROXYLAPATITE
RADIESSE contains calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres in a gel carrier. It can provide a filling effect as well as stimulating collagen over time. Preparation and treatment area affect the purpose of the procedure.
Sculptra contains poly-L-lactic acid and is designed to stimulate collagen gradually. Your provider discusses an appropriate treatment course and the time needed to assess change.
These products are not hyaluronic acid fillers and cannot be dissolved with hyaluronidase. The choice of material deserves a clear discussion of benefits, risks, and alternatives.
A NOTE ON THE MENU
RADIESSE appears in two different conversations.
The RADIESSE biostimulator service is separate from our RADIESSE + HA Blend offering in Dermal Fillers. Your provider will explain the specific preparation and purpose being proposed.
Time to understand your options. Space to make your own decision.
Define the goal.
Review your skin and facial concerns, previous treatments, medical history, and the changes you want to explore.
Discuss the material.
Understand the selected product, treatment area, expected course, risks, and total proposed cost.
Give change time.
Early swelling is not the final result. Follow your product-specific aftercare instructions and allow time for assessment.
Review before continuing.
Follow-up helps guide whether further sessions are appropriate. Your response and goals shape the next step.
A CONSIDERED COMMITMENT
Take time to understand your options.
Injectable biostimulators can cause bruising, swelling, tenderness, lumps or nodules, infection, and other complications. Rare vascular complications can be serious. Your provider reviews the selected product’s labeling, suitability, and aftercare before treatment.
A LITTLE CLARITY
Your questions. Thoughtful answers.
How are RADIESSE and Sculptra different?+
They use different materials: calcium hydroxylapatite in RADIESSE and poly-L-lactic acid in Sculptra. RADIESSE can provide immediate filling as well as collagen stimulation; Sculptra works gradually. The proposed preparation and area matter.
Will I need a series?+
Possibly. Your provider discusses the number and spacing of visits based on the product, goals, and assessment. A starting price does not represent the cost of a complete course.
Can these products be dissolved?+
They cannot be dissolved with hyaluronidase in the way hyaluronic acid filler can. This is part of the consultation before choosing a treatment.
How soon will I see a change?+
The timeline differs by product and individual. Initial swelling or filling should not be confused with longer-term collagen-related changes. Your provider explains when to assess progress.
Are they suitable for everyone?+
No. Medical history, allergies, skin conditions, existing treatments, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and other factors require review. Sometimes another approach—or no treatment—is the appropriate choice.
