WHAT IS MICRONEEDLING?

A precise treatment.
A personal perspective.

SkinPen® uses fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin, initiating a repair response. It’s an option to discuss when facial acne scars and uneven texture are on your mind.

We look at the whole picture: your skin, your history, and what you hope to change. The goal is a sensible plan, with room for gradual progress and realistic expectations.

THE MICRONEEDLING FAMILY

One starting point.
Considered options.

Extra steps should have a purpose. Explore these options with Katie before choosing what belongs in your plan.

01

SkinPen® Microneedling

$350 · packages available

Our starting point for a conversation about texture and the appearance of acne scars. A series may be recommended after an individual assessment.

02

Microneedling with PRP

$650 per session · packages available

Platelet-rich plasma is prepared from a sample of your own blood. Katie will explain the proposed method of use, evidence, additional steps, and suitability before treatment.

03

VAMP™ Microneedling

Personalized consultation

VAMP™ is a topical formulation containing vitamins, amino acids, minerals, and PDRN. Ask how this menu option fits your care plan and how product directions affect application and timing.

04

VAMP™ + Tox GlowUP

Personalized consultation

A combination offering listed in our treatment menu. We discuss each component, the method of use, and the limitations of the evidence individually; this is not the same as a standard injected wrinkle-relaxer treatment.

A note on combinations: FDA clearance of a microneedling device does not mean combinations with PRP, cosmetics, or drugs are FDA-cleared. VAMP™ is labeled for topical use, not injection or application to compromised skin. We discuss the proposed approach and its limitations before treatment.

FROM FIRST QUESTION TO FOLLOW-UP

Care at
every step.

Time to talk. Room for questions.
A clear idea of what comes next.

  1. Start with a conversation.

We review your goals, skin history, medications, and suitability, then explain options, costs, and recovery.

  2. Make comfort part of the plan.

Preparation and comfort measures are discussed before your treatment. Tell us about sensitivities or allergies.

  3. Give your skin time.

Follow your individual aftercare instructions. Plan for visible redness or other temporary changes while your skin recovers.

  4. Review the bigger picture.

We revisit progress and decide together whether another session or a different approach makes sense.

A LITTLE CLARITY

Your questions.
Thoughtful answers.

How much does microneedling cost?

Standard SkinPen® microneedling is $350. Packages are available. Microneedling with PRP is $650 per session; ask about package options. Your treatment plan and any additional costs are discussed before you decide.

Is microneedling right for acne scars?

It may help improve the appearance of certain facial acne scars. Scar type, active breakouts, your skin history, and your goals all matter. A consultation helps distinguish acne scarring from concerns that may need a different approach.

How many sessions will I need?

There is no one-size-fits-all number. A series may be recommended, with progress reviewed along the way. Results develop gradually, vary between people, and may require maintenance.

What should I expect during recovery?

Redness, tightness, dryness, peeling, pinpoint bleeding, or bruising may occur. Recovery varies. You’ll receive instructions for skincare, sun exposure, makeup, and when to resume your routine. Tell us about upcoming events before scheduling.

Are there risks or reasons to postpone?

Microneedling is not suitable for everyone. Discuss medications, skin conditions, cold sores, healing problems, allergies, and pregnancy or breastfeeding with your provider. Risks include infection, pigment changes, and scarring. Your provider will review suitability and explain when to seek help.

How does SkinPen differ from Virtue RF?

SkinPen® uses mechanical microneedling. Virtue RF adds radiofrequency energy, with a different treatment experience and risk profile. More intensity is not automatically a better choice; we’ll compare options around your skin and goals.
